HEART RATE VARIABILITY
Utas's Patient Monitors and Electrocardiographs have a special software for the analysis of the heart rate variability in the time and frequency domains. All parameters are according to the "Standards of Measurement, Physical Interpretation and the Clinical Use of Heart Rate Variability: Task Force of the European Society of Cardiology and The North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology".
Time domain:
- NN - mean NN intervals
- SDNN - standard deviation of all NN intervals
- SDANN - standard deviation of the averages of NN intervals in all 5 min. Segments of the entire recording
- RMSSD - the square root of the mean of the sum of the squares of differences between adjacent NN intervals
- NN50 - number of pairs of adjacent NN intervals differing by more than 50 ms
- PNN50 - NN50 count divided by the total number of all NN intervals
Frequency domain:
- U - total power (<£0.4 Hz)
- ULF - power in the ULF range (<£0.003 Hz)
- VLF - power in the VLF range (0.003-0.04 Hz)
- LF - power in the LF range (0.04-0.15 Hz)
- HF - power in the HF range (0.15-0.4 Hz)
- LF/HF - ratio LF/HF
With this software the physician gets the support to do an optimal diagnosis. |
